Bring your dogs, cats, and pets of all kinds to Kingston Yard on April 11 for a fun-filled celebration of National Pet Day, presented by Pawsitivity Pet Spa!

Enjoy a pet parade, costume and photo contests, and explore pet-focused vendors. Whether you’re showing off your furry friend or just soaking up the fun, this family-friendly event is perfect for animal lovers of all ages. Photo Contest: You must submit a photo of your pet at Kingston Yard, including restaurant patios, on April 11th during the event. Photo submissions will be accepted from 12-3pm. Awards will be given out in the following categories: most photogenic, most unphotogenic, funniest, best smile, and best trick.

Costume Contest: Sign up is open day of from 12-1pm. Judges will be roaming the yard from 1-3pm choosing their winners. Awards will be given out in the following categories: most creative, best group, judge's pick.

Pet Parade: Line up will begin at 2pm with the parade starting at 2:30pm. The parade will be led by a representative from Pawsitivity and will go down 1st Street, turn left on 1st Avenue, and come back into Kingston Yard along the parking garage, ending onstage. Judges will be watching registrants as they cross the stage. Partcipating pets must be well behaved, be on a leash or contaned, and be up-to-date on their vaccinations. Wagons are accepted. Prizes will be given out in the following categories: cutest, best behaved, pet/parent look alike, most unique pet, best personality, fluffiest, and best talent.

All awards will be given out at 3:30pm, including the announcement of our overall winner, the Best in Yard. Huge thanks to our awards sponsor, La Bella Pet Spa!

Join us for a tail-wagging day of fun, fitness, and community — all in support of the animals in our care!

Participant Check-In: 7:15 AM – 8:15 AM

⏰ 5K Start: 8:30 AM

⏰ 1-Mile Start: 9:15 AM

🐕 5K Dog Jog – Run, jog, or walk with your leashed pup

🐶 1-Mile Fun Run – Perfect for families, kids, strollers, and casual walkers

✨ This is a fun run, not a race — all speeds are welcome!

Your registration fee includes an official event T-shirt, and all remaining proceeds go directly toward supporting the animals in our care at Tails in Transit! 💜🐶

💉 Dogs should be healthy and current on recommended vaccinations
